Students of Lynchburg Elementary took a short bus ride from their classroom to tour Lynchburg Quarry. Led by Randy Goodwin, Dan Lewis, and Donnie Lankford, the quarry tour provides an educational and fun-filled day.
"There is no better way to educate than to provide a first-hand experience," said Sylvia Hargis, SETN. "We were expecting around 20 children, but were very pleased that 75 people attended the day."
A beautiful fall day and a bowl full of chili that was cooked up by Mr. Cartwright, Lynchburg Quarry land owner, made the day a memorable experience.
