Rogers Group's Southern Middle Tennessee SBU has opened a new greenfield quarry site in Hickman County, Tennessee, according to Randy Butler, SBU Manager. This is Rogers’ eleventh new business addition in twelve months.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held recently with county officials and neighbors on hand and County Executive Steve Gregory doing the ribbon cutting. The group took a tour of the plant and learned about quarry processes. Randy Butler gave the group an overview of the positive community and economic impact Rogers expects to have in the county.
“We have created about 12 new jobs at the quarry, which will serve area construction material needs,” Butler explained. Hickman County’s new employees have already been recognized with a celebration for their work in getting the new plant operational ahead of schedule.
Hickman County is west/southwest of Nashville; the new operation is located in northeast Hickman County between Spencer Mill and New Cut Off Roads.
