RGI Helps Raise Money for
David Crockett Elementary School

Rogers Group Lawrenceburg quarry employees have been working with the students and teachers at David Crockett Elementary School in the Adopt-A-School program.  The school planned to raise money for new playground equipment during the Spring Festival.  Although we enjoyed cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for the concession stand and donating small prizes for other events, one of the highlights of the event was the DynoBlast, which was furnished by Rogers Group.

Classmates participate, too!

The school sold chances for two students to push the button for a blasting shot at our Lawrenceburg quarry.   Samantha Johnson, 4th Grader and Cody Rau, 3rd Grader, won the drawing.  After following all safety precautions and working closely with Rogers Group personnel, Samantha and Cody's mom and school classmates witnessed the event.  Pictures were taken as they pushed the button.  The photos were then mounted on a plaque and presented to the students.  A tour of the quarry and a picnic were provided by Rogers Group on the Big Day, too!
