It is with great pleasure that I present to you The President's Award. Your pioneering spirit and efforts in the area of asphalt material cost reduction have inspired a continuing quest for the development of new and more cost-effective products across our company.
Your efforts have already yielded significant impact on the prosperity of Rogers Group. In fiscal year 2001 you led an asphalt material cost-reduction across three SBU's (NMTN, NAL, and CIN) that resulted in a combined savings of over $700,000.00. In accomplishing this cost savings, your leadership in proper materials management, advanced engineering practices, sharing resources, and using less non-RGI produced materials and less liquid AC in our asphalt mixes has set the stage for a potential savings of $2 million during fiscal year 2002.
Your ingenuity has resulted in great success and also created the opportunity for others across RGI to succeed as they learn from your example and integrate the practices you have initiated.
Rick Turner nominated you for this award and Rich Warden and Mike Agee whole-heartedly supported it. I, too, believe you are most deserving of this recognition and award.
