Westmoreland Helipad Becomes Reality with Rogers' Help

Time is relative, sometimes it moves slowly, other times it moves too quickly. Never does it move more quickly than when emergency medical care is needed, which is why the dedication of the Mayo Wix Helipad in Westmoreland was so important to the residents of upper Sumner County. The dedication of the helipad, which will allow Vanderbilt's Life Flight helicopter to land day or night in Westmoreland, is the culmination of two years of hard work by the residents of Westmoreland, the Westmoreland Police Officers Association, and in particular Officer Freeman Ipock.

"It is a dream come true," said Ipock about the completion of the helipad and its dedication.

Rogers Group was pleased to be able to assist by donating, building and paving the roadway leading up to the helipad.

Westmoreland is quite a distance from a local hospital. Previously, seriously injured victims of highway accidents had to be driven to the hospital. Life Flight Helicopters can now land and hopefully save more lives!
