Gallatin Day Care Center, a state-run facility in Gallatin, Tennessee, was robbed just before Christmas. The thieves were very thorough. They "lifted" everything from equipment to the childrens' food. Our own Julie Whittington was one of the first to rush in to help after seeing the story on the local Channel 5 News.
She even managed to convince Santa (Micheal Heath, Sales Manager at MNTN SBU) to come along. Together they delivered a wide assortment of goodies. In this time of need, the children received a TV/VCR combination with lots of childrens' videos and gift certificates from Kroger, all compliments of Rogers Group. Soon the day care was receiving food and offers of support from all over the community.
Julie is known for her readiness to always lend a helping hand. That's probably one reason she was chosen to serve as president of the Hendersonville Kiwanis. And when Mrs. Claus appeared at the Community Child Care Center in Hendersonville, TN bestowing stockings stuffed with goodies for each child (also provided by Rogers Group), some thought she bore a striking resemblance to Julie Whittington. Could it be.........?
