Children Are People Inc. offers a safe haven for disadvantaged youth and it paves the way for a positive future.
Fred Bailey, founder and Executive Director for Children Are People, specializes in transforming lemons into lemonade. As the fifteenth child of a sharecropper who lived in Gallatin, he was born without the gift of sight. Despite an intimate relationship with disadvantage, he received a Bachelor’s degree from TSU.
What’s his secret recipe for success? It begins and ends with the presence of caring adults in a child’s life, adults who encourage ambition, model a positive work ethic and focus on personal responsibility.
Rogers Group’s Mid-Central Division is a proud supporter of Children Are People Inc. Community Relations Coordinator Judy Bowling recently presented CAP Founder Fred Bailey with a check to help send disadvantaged children to a CAP run youth camp.
