On June 13, the first of two groups of children from the Charles Davis Foundation were educated and entertained by the staff at REOStone.
Eighteen children (ages 8 to 12) and two Camp P.E.A.C.E. counselors were treated to rock painting, a tour of the quarry, an introduction to life as a Rogers Group employee, and pizza (the undeniable favorite).
Before their departure, each child was provided with a goodie bag containing fun products like a Frisbee, a coloring book, crayons, beverage hugger, an insulated lunch bag, ink pen and ruler.
It was apparent that the children had a wonderful time when they thanked us over and over again and offered hugs before climbing into their vans.
Many thanks are due Rita Street, Paul Brogdon, Toby Ellis, and Roger Allen for all that they did to make this "field trip" a huge success.
