NMTN Opens Extension of SR 386 Four Months Early

On Friday, June 15, a seven-mile segment of Tennessee State Route 386, otherwise known as Vietnam Veterans Boulevard, opened four months ahead of schedule. The section, which leads from Long Hollow Pike to just east of Saundersville Road, provides a much easier commute for Gallatin and Sumner county residents who work in the Nashville area. NMTN Division VP Rick Turner and his team have been working diligently on this project for some time now.

Local officials came together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion. Attendees included Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely, State Senator Diane Black, State Representatives Mike McDonald, Debra Maggart and Susan Lynn, Sumner County Executive Hank Thomson and Gallatin Mayor Jo Ann Graves. RGI employees Rick Turner, NMTN Division Controller David Neal, General Manager Buzz Crockett and Area Production Manager Jim Richardson also attended the event.
