The Drug Task Force has been putting a hold on drug trafficking in Monterey, near the Algood, TN Quarry. For the second time in a week, the DTF found a large quantity of drugs as they were being transported east bound down I40, this time in a horse trailer.
Each time it has been around $500,000 worth of marijuana in tightly secured bricks. The smugglers were hoping to get the drugs past the agent’s trained search dog, Crash, but they underestimated him.
Rogers Group, Algood Quarry provided a certified weight for the confiscated marijuana, around 260 pounds.
