Algood Quarry Continues to be Safety Leader

Rogers Group Algood Quarry was presented with a plaque from the National Stone Association for 500,000 man hours with no lost time accidents. Jerry Teeler, the southern Region Safety manager, presented the plaque to the employees.

The employees were treated to a lunch along with the presentation. The Algood Quarry had a Zero Frequency rate in FY99 and continues to have a Zero Frequency rate for year-to-date FY00.

In 1996 NSA presented the Algood Quarry with a plaque in honor of 10 years with no lost time accidents. Safety is a priority every day at this location and it will continue to be. This is one of the many ways the Algood team works together to be successful.
