RGI Corporate Serves BBQ and Smiles to Area Retirement Home
What do barbecue, watermelon, sing-a-longs and making someone smile have to do with one another? Well, it describes how 13 RGI Nashville employees spent their lunch hour on Friday, July 6, as they celebrated Independence Day with their neighbors at J.B. Knowles Home for the Aged.

To celebrate the holiday, employees took all the "fixins" for a Fourth of July picnic to 175 permanent and day-care residents. Lunch, which consisted of barbecued chicken and pork, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw and watermelon, was followed by a sing-a-long of old time favorites like “America the Beautiful,” “Working on the Railroad,” “In The Garden,” “I'll Fly Away,” and “Skip to My Lou” (with some excellent skipping by all RGI'ers). The celebration ended with a rousing chorus of “God Bless America!”

Attending employees included Treasury Operations Manager Donna Carini, Communications Specialist Tom Kenley, Intern Katie Yinger, Office Services Coordinator Amanda Greer, Accounting Clerk Joy Dooley, Payroll Manager Pat Goostree, Accounts Payable Administrator Mandy Carmon, Director of Aviation Bill Torphy, Director of Information Services Fran Bellante, Human Resources Administrator Connie Edwards, Director of Compensation and Benefits Alyson Robinson, Accounts Payable Administrator Lisa Hammond and Executive Assistant and Event Planner Diane Lawbaugh.

Employees entertained retirement home patients by singing and even skipping along to "Skip to My Lou."
