Crusade for Children
Corny...sentimental...lump in the throat, tear in the eye..sure, it's all of those things. The CRUSADE FOR CHILDREN, somehow, rises above those characterizations. It simply represents five decades of love. The Crusade is unique.   Since it's inception in 1954, the Crusade has raised more than $70 million to aid in the care and treatment of millions of handicapped children in Kentucky and southern Indiana.

It has grown over the years to be the the Louisville area's number one charity (voted so by the readers of Louisville Magazine). What makes the Crusade for Children so unique is the fact that EVERY penny donated gets put to work for the children.

Another fact: The Crusade is a total community volunteer effort.

Rogers Group supports the Crusade through the involvement of our employees at the Central Kentucky SBU.  Every May, we assist the Highview Fire Department by co-hosting an annual golf fundraiser.  When we began working with this charity in our first year (1984) $3,200 was raised.  This year (1998) $44,300 was raised.  The golf outing is the single largest event in the crusade and has helped to raise over $175,000 over the past 14 years.

Please support this very worthwhile charity by purchasing a box of Christmas cards.
