You remember this story:
Rogers Group dozer operator Dave Johnson noticed a pink tag with a message typed on it while out working recently. The tag that had once been attached to a balloon stated that Kristen Zangerle, a fourth grader at Gridley Grade School, was participating in Red Ribbon Week and that she promised to be drug free. "It sure is refreshing to see that efforts are being made to promote a drug free world at such an early age," says Toma Vail, Office Clerk at Interstate Sand and Gravel.
"According to the map, her message traveled approximately 95 miles before it came to rest here with us at Interstate Sand and Gravel. Rogers Group appreciates dedication to this type of commitment because we also operate under a 'Zero Tolerance' policy."
A letter and box of goodies, containing Rogers Group coloring books, pens, pencils, highlighters, and other miscellaneous items were sent to Kristen's class at Gridley Grade School, in Gridley, Illinois. "We just wanted to let them to know we got the message," Toma concluded.
The response from Gridley was incredible. See for yourself. PDF Letters of thanks.
