In October 2006, the Williamsport-Washington Township Public Library in Indiana burned to the ground. Although insurance helped with the rebuilding, it did not cover everything. The community surrounding this small Central Indiana town responded to meet the need, and Newton County Stone played a part.
One project that insurance and other funding could not cover was a new sprinkler system for the library. Newton County Stone, with help from Wabash Sand & Gravel, worked with the library to conduct a book sale that raised funds for this project.
While the library is still in its rebuilding phase, Rogers Group will be looking for more ways to help get the library back in operation.
