In June, CIN and NIN divisions worked with the Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association and the Indiana Geological Survey to help sponsor the 2007 National Minerals Education Conference held in Bloomington this year at the Courtyard by Marriott. With the theme of "Changing Perceptions, One Mine at a Time," the conference informed educators from several states about the mining and aggregates industry. Workshop titles included “Mining and Environmental Education,” “Limestone Quarries and Your Community” and “Rock the Quarry” (led by Senior Sales Representative Dana Boyd).
The schedule included a cookout at the Bloomington Quarry as well as tours of the Martinsville plant and Bloomington Quarry.
