CIN Helps One of Its Own Repair Flood Damage
The massive June flooding in central Indiana provided many opportunities for Rogers Group’s CIN employees to reach out and help the community. However, employees themselves were not immune to the damage. Bloomington Specialty Products’ Daniel Hasselburg and his family lost everything they owned as the waters rose to engulf the bottom half of his home, which was also a total loss.

Of course, CIN employees jumped at the opportunity to help one of their own clean up from the damage and logged 20 hours of community service in the process.

QC Technician Kristy Hawkins started coordinating the efforts to help Daniel and his family by finding out what was needed and how the company would be able to help. The following employees volunteered their time to help clean up the Hasselburg property: Jason Sykes, Bill Marvin, Mike Malone, Steve Ramsey. In addition to allowing employees time to help with the project, Rogers Group paid for two 20-yard dumpsters to handle the debris.

Daniel sent a kind “thank you” note to RGI and those who helped:
"Our family is very thankful, and we rejoice in the Lord for my wife waking up at 6:15 a.m. and asking me if I moved my daughters play set. After I realized the creek was up and rising very fast, I knew we didn’t have much time to spare. I picked up my daughter and headed out the door with my wife behind me as the water quickly went from my knees up to my hips. It was raining so hard that it was hard to see very far in front of us.

"A very special thanks to Jason Sykes, Bill Marvin, Mike Malone, Steve Ramsey and RGI for helping me clean up my property and for the dumpsters. It was very hot and these men worked very hard to help our family. Thank you, Lord, for these men that worked hard to help us, and I pray You will bless them for their hard labor. Amen.

"Special thanks for helping with organizing everything to Shaunna Deckard and Kristy Hawkins. Thanks again, RGI!"
