The Indiana Central Library, with 476,000 square feet of usable space after a recent expansion, has been rated as one of the top libraries in the nation. It now draws up to 4,000 patrons a day—that’s more than 1.8 million people per year!
Rogers Block Senior Sales Rep. Paula Pearson has been volunteering her time monthly at the library. As a tour guide, she provides hourly tours of the architecturally significant details of the building as well as a general overview of the library and its services. She also welcomes and provides directional assistance to patrons visiting the library. “Our volunteers are a very important part of our library,” says Tour Guide Supervisor Jan Swan.
Through her volunteering, Paula has logged 12 hours of community service on behalf of Rogers Block’s goal of 100 hours of community service to commemorate 100 years of Rogers Group.
