Martinsville, Indiana – Damage from summer flooding in the Midwest can still be seen, but there are at least a few houses in better shape due to the goodwill of employees from Rogers Block in Martinsville. Field Office Clerk Susan Moonshower contacted the Morgan County Emergency Management Agency to see how Rogers employees could help. The agency responded with a list of four houses that were in dire need of debris cleanup.
On Saturday, July 26, Rogers Block employees Dan Wright, Gary Freeman, Howard Brummett, Ken Conolty, Jim England, John Cummings, Susan Moonshower and John Frazzini spent all day cleaning up the four homes. This included removing debris from yards and removing ruined appliances and furniture from basements that had been flooded.
Showing strength in spirit and with big hearts Rogers employees volunteered without hesitation.
This community service effort added 32 hours toward Rogers Block’s goal of 100 hours of community service to commemorate 100 years of Rogers Group.
