Quality Co-op Products
Agricultural lime (aglime) plays a very important role in farm profitability. The pulverized limestone product has been used by farmers for centuries to correct the pH balance of their soils. Soil acidity is a main cause of reduced productivity in farmland. Liming encourages growth and production of crops and also helps herbicides and fertilizers work better, increasing profits and land value for the farmer.

The Alabama Farmers Co-op was formed in the 1940's to provide supplies needed to plant and harvest and to serve as a marketing arm for getting the farmers crops into the hands of companies for end-use products. |
Today, the Alabama Farmers Co-ops have 56 member stores with 76 outlets throughout Alabama. These stores provide products and services to their members as well as the general public. Rogers Group usually participates in "Grower Meetings" with Co-op customers. During those meetings, we have the opportunity to talk about aglime and provide the farmers a chance to ask questions. Many of these individual farmers display a plaquard in their fields where our aglime has been used. The Co-op stores that distribute our aglime also bear signs identifying Rogers Group as "the aglime specialists."
