| What is RGI's Philosophy? | Our envisioned future is to be THE Employer of Choice where employees can develop a rewarding life and career and be provided the opportunity to succeed. To that end, our people philosophy is to recruit and retain a diverse, world-class talent source from internal and external candidates.
Our premium performance philosophy requires a continual dialog between employees and managers as a tool to achieve company goals. This open, two-way dialog allows employees to grow, learn and maximize their contributions to the company's success. This can occur in their current job or through an available job opportunity. The company has a goal of providing an efficient means of filling vacancies while at the same time providing an environment conducive to the growth of its employees. The employee has the ultimate responsibility for his/her individual career choices. |
| What is the policy for filling vacancies? | Our objective is to fill a job with the most qualified person regardless of the source. We will consider all qualified internal candidates as well as external candidates. |
| Who can apply? | Any employee who has been in his/her current job for one year. |
| Will all jobs be posted? | We intend to post the majority of salaried exempt positions. Some examples of circumstances under which
the company will not post jobs include but are not limited to:
|
| Can an employee apply for any posted job? | It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure they meet the minimum requirements of the positions. |
| When should employees advise their supervisors? | Dialog between manager and employee should start as soon as possible. Career counseling from the manager can assist the employee in identifying whether or not he/she is "fit" for a position. A recommendation from your manager may be required prior to scheduling any interviews. |
| What is the posting period? | Usually positions remain posted until filled. |
| What is the posting method? | Jobs will be posted electronically on RGI's web site, and HR Coordinators will print and post job openings on bulletin boards in field locations where employees do not have Rockpile access. |
| How is feedback given to candidates? | Employees will be contacted for further information only if the hiring manager wishes to pursue their candidacy. The hiring manager is encouraged to contact all internal finalists who are interviewed but not selected and provide feedback once an offer is extended and accepted. |
| Once selected, when does the employee start the new assignment? | Two to three weeks in most cases. The timeframe may vary when a critical project must be completed prior to the new assignment. The start date should be negotiated between the hiring and releasing managers. |
| Who do I call with questions? | As with all issues, the first contact should
be with your supervisor.
