RGI's Tom Kenley delivers donated items to Renewal House's Alyssa Leonard.
This year’s holiday charity project for RGI employees in Nashville's MetroCenter corporate offices benefited three single-parent families at Renewal House, a comprehensive, long-term recovery community for women with substance use addictions and their children. The organization helps women and families make a fresh start in life and break the cycle of addiction for future generations.
Since these ladies have been focused on putting their lives back on track, they have not been able to afford extra things for their children or for themselves. MetroCenter employees stepped in and were excited about participating.
At the office holiday luncheon on Friday, December 11, employees brought comforters, children’s toys, board games, floor lamps, clothes, and much more that were delivered to the Nashville facility that afternoon.
In addition to providing gifts for the three families, 15 “goody bags” with toiletries, a pocket calendar and a journal were prepared for ladies who visit Renewal House weekly for follow-up outpatient treatment.
