NSSGA SELECTS ROGERS GROUP, INC. AS
NATIONAL STAR OF EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced that Rogers Group's Oak Ridge Quarry has received the National Star of Excellence Award. Only 15 quarries in the U.S. comprise the elite group.

"The award is only a symbol of the real value that quarries like Oak Ridge add to the community," said Joy Wilson, NSSGA President and CEO.

National Star of Excellence winners are recognized for being outstanding corporate citizens and making remarkable contributions to America's economy, environment, and quality of life. The award is presented to quarries that have earned at least two top-ranking awards in other NSSGA programs such as community relations, safety, environmental, beautification, or marketing. Oak Ridge Quarry earned the top community relations award, the Pinnacle and the top beautification award, the Showplace. NSSGA's National Star of Excellence program began in 2001.

Rogers Group, a 97-year-old construction products company, provides crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt, highway construction, and concrete masonry to the south-central United States.
